Accessibility Technology
A free online open mic for neurodivergent and underrepresented musicians: no toxicity, no judgment, no pressure. Open Hearth now connects 120+ musicians and listeners across India and the United States.

About Me
My mission is to build and scale technology-based solutions that adapt to humans, and I work at the intersection of music, technology, and accessibility.
I build technology for underserved athletes, neurodivergent and physically impaired musicians, and students struggling with mental health. I do this by combining my passions for computer science, digital signal processing, and electrical engineering.
Through my volunteering, research, and projects, I continue to explore the question that began my journey: who gets access?
My Work
Accessibility Technology
A free online open mic for neurodivergent and underrepresented musicians: no toxicity, no judgment, no pressure. Open Hearth now connects 120+ musicians and listeners across India and the United States.

Accessibility Technology
I built a Python program that draws on a range of libraries to help physically impaired pianists read and play sheet music, and presented it at my local science fair.

Accessibility Technology
Amid rising mental health crises in US high school students, I am working on the idea of an accessible and private app to help students manage stress through adaptive music.

Digital Signal Processing Research
I evaluated machine learning models, parameters, and digital signal processing techniques to improve how accurately vessel motors can be identified from their audio signatures.

Digital Signal Processing Research
I proposed a system that pairs a PPG sensor with a lightweight stress-classifying ML model on a phone, responding with musical intervention to make stress management more efficient and accessible.

Digital Signal Processing Research · Team Lead
I built a program that blends the sounds of two instruments, producing a single output that is perceived as both instruments combined.
Software Development
At Hinkal, a leading blockchain privacy and security startup, I designed and built interfaces that make secure transactions accessible across a wide range of chain networks.
Software Development
Hey, Blue! gamifies the relationship between police officers and the neighborhoods they patrol, building trust and bridging the gap between residents and officers.
Software Development
Compass Lessons helps healthcare companies turn complex challenges into actionable, human-centered strategies that improve both clinical and economic outcomes.

Academics
GPA: 4.5 weighted / 3.93 unweighted. Coursework includes:

Summer Program
I simulated bridge construction in MATLAB and studied thermodynamics through the design of a Stirling engine.

Summer Program
I studied digital signal processing, Fourier analysis, and sound transformation using graphical programming and embedded systems.
Music
As a competitive pianist, I've won prizes at Stanford University, the Berlin Grand Prize Virtuoso, and Global Genius Music, and performed at Carnegie Hall in a winners' concert.

Sports
I was named MVP of my junior varsity team, then played #6 on my high school's varsity team, which won:

Volunteering · Music Therapy
I volunteer in music therapy sessions at the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area, a Danville nonprofit that supports people with Down syndrome and their families.

Volunteering · Mentorship
I serve as a buddy for neurodiverse kids with Disable the Difference, a nonprofit that runs free programs and friendship for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Growing up, beyond years of rigorous training in piano, my grandmother’s (Dadi’s) philosophy of “Seva” (selfless service) has shaped my identity. A lifelong teacher, she tutors under-privileged children and pays for their tuition.
As an avid pianist, I’ve always valued my access to self-expression. However, seeing others struggle with accessibility limitations made me question what happens when people cannot pursue what they love. Dadi’s philosophy of “success is measured by what you give, not what you accumulate” became central to my design choices for vulnerable populations facing barriers to accessibility, and it is always an inspiration for me to continue building for accessibility.
In middle school, I began exploring technology to answer this question. I learned that accessibility barriers stem from cost, physical ability, or mental health. My journey started when I coded a tennis biomechanics analyzer using Node.js and React to make private coaching affordable. But I soon realized cost isn’t the only hurdle people face, so I built solutions to manage mental health wellness and assist physically disabled pianists, using Python, Supabase, and Pandas.
For a deeper understanding, I advanced research in audio processing during UC San Diego’s selective COSMOS program and through IEEE publications. These experiences allowed me to address more complex challenges. I engineered a sensory-safe online stage with AI monitors for marginalized musicians, and developed an LLM-security framework for AI agents to prevent malicious activity, which also won a hackathon. Three internships have equipped me with cybersecurity and architecture expertise to build modern and safe solutions.
Putting Seva into practice continues through my service as a music therapy volunteer for people with Down Syndrome and a teaching volunteer for neurodivergent children.
I aspire to solve the same barrier Dadi is solving with books: access.
